Entrepreneurship Workshop in association with Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India at APIIT

APIIT SD INDIA organized a one day Entrepreneurship Workshop in association with MSME Development Institute, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. The workshop was organized on 26th September 2014. At the start of the workshop, Director Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Choudhary gave a floral welcome to Mr. Vijay Kumar, Director, Mr. L.B.S. Yadav, Deputy Director, Mr. Sanjay Nigam Assistant Director- MSME Development Institute, Ministry of MSME, Government of India. Mr. Vijay Kumar, Director of MSME Development Institute, Ministry of MSME discussed about the opportunities for economic prosperity through entrepreneurship to the engineering and management students of APIIT. He discussed about various schemes for starting new venture and support system of Ministry of MSME. He offered the opportunity for students to develop innovative final year projects with financial assistance from the MSME. He assured to provide Rs. 1.5 lacs to engineering students working on innovative final year projects. He informed that students can sell the products after development or can also start a new business venture based on the product developed through the final year project. He assured financial assistance to all engineering students of APIIT for innovative final year projects. Dr. R.K.Choudhary discussed about the need to convert challenges into opportunities and get success in life. He shared success stories of APIIT alumni who have become successful entrepreneurs. He announced setting up of Entrepreneurship Development Cell in APIIT. The Institute would provide the consultancy for converting the innovative ideas into successful business ventures for students in APIIT campus with guidance and support from Ministry of MSME. Mr. Sanjay Nigam, Assistant Director (MSME) discussed about the potential products for starting a new business venture and operational part for setting up a new enterprise. The students actively participated in the workshop and got exposure of the operational, financial and consultancy support services offered by Ministry of MSME. The workshop will be followed by an intensive training programme for students who want to start their own enterprise. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Rajesh Tiwari.
